    Adina Foundation and Privacy

    You can read here about how the Adina Foundation processes personal information.

    In accordance with the Personal Data Act and the EU's new "General Data Protection Regulation" (GDPR) which enters into force on 25 May 2018, the Adina Foundation publishes how the organization processes personal data:

    Pursuant to section 8 of the Act, which deals with conditions for processing personal data, the data is processed to fulfill an agreement with a supporter (membership agreement, sponsorship agreement, etc.), fulfill the organization's legal obligations and maintain a register of our supporters to fulfill our purpose.

    The Adina Foundation processes the following information in its register: We store personal details (name, address, telephone number and the like) and social security numbers of those of our sponsors and supporters who have provided information about this. In addition, we store information about contributions that have been given. The Adina Foundation complies with the current rules for updating reservations against the Reservation Register in Brønnøysund.

    The Adina Foundation uses its name and address for marketing purposes. We update addresses against those who have registered in the Reservation Register (applies to those who do not have current agreements with us). For those who have ongoing agreements, such as sponsorship agreements, a reservation is registered if the person contacts the Adina Foundation and requests this. Social security numbers are stored with us and shared with the tax authorities in connection with tax deductions on sponsorship contributions. The information is stored on a secure server and is not disclosed to anyone other than the tax authorities.

    All persons registered by the Adina Foundation can request access to what information is registered and how we use it. Such information will only be disclosed after a written and signed inquiry to us. We hereby ensure that information is not disclosed to unauthorized persons.
